On Founders' Day we celebrate the legacy of our founders and take pride in our achievements. It is also a time to renew our commitment to being a powerful voice for all children, a relevant resource for parents, and a strong advocate for public education.

How are Founders' Day Donations Used?
Do Founders' Day donations go to California State PTA scholarships? Are they used for grants? The answer to both questions is “no.” The funds for the California State PTA Scholarship and Grant Program are derived from donations made to the California State PTA Honorary Service Award Program.

Founders’ Day donations are used to extend the work of PTA leadership via training, information, and instruction. Your donations are, in fact, a gift from “you to you!” Your gift has far-reaching effects and benefits many people in many areas:

½ of the Founders’ Day gift is sent to the National PTA

¼ is retained by the California State PTA

¼ is returned to you – Thirty-Third District PTA
